Matthew Horton was appointed Company Secretary in February 2008 and is also General Counsel for the Group. Prior to joining ABC Matthew was at Rio Tinto Limited where he held various senior legal and commercial roles during his seven years with the company including as General Manager, Joint Ventures, Rio Tinto Coal Australia. In his role Mr Horton held Board positions on all of Rio Tinto Coal's joint venture boards.
Matthew's qualifications include a Master of Business (Corporate Law)(RMIT), Bachelor of Laws (UQ) and Bachelor of Arts (UQ). He also has Certificate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment (Securities Institute).
